Music video sets the stage for Foundation’s anti-bullying platform
Fort Lauderdale, Florida – (May 8, 2012) – The LIVE FREE BE STRONG Foundation, a socially conscious not-for-profit organization, is off to a tremendous start making its first donation to the Fort Lauderdale High School Gay Straight Alliance in an effort to promote anti-bullying. Following a very successful launch party recently at Casablanca Café in Fort Lauderdale, which included the premier of the Live Free Be Strong anthem and video, the LIVE FREE BE STRONG Foundation is well on its way to support grassroots organizations which are taking a stand to end bullying through education and outreach programs.
“LIVE FREE BE STRONG is a dream come true and I am even more inspired to give back as a result of the overwhelming community response so far,” said David Vincent, LIVE FREE BE STRONG Founder and CEO of Five Star Monkey. “We are committed to making a difference and together we will raise more awareness and funds to support programs that inspire, motivate and educate our youth to be kinder to each other and respect each other’s differences.”
The LIVE FREE BE STRONG Foundation made its first donation to the Fort Lauderdale High School Gay Straight Alliance (GSA), a newly formed group of students who are committed to engaging in healthy dialogue and taking action to unite everyone. The $1,000 seed money will help students execute activities that raise awareness and bring students together. The Foundation will also mentor the students and support them along the way.
As a tool to fulfill its mission, LIVE FREE BE STRONG has released singer/songwriter Jared Bradford LeBlanc’s “Live Free Be Strong” song and video, which tells the story of how staying strong and living free can help one to survive and enjoy a bright future. Froze-N-Time productions produced the video and can be seen at www.livefreebestrong.org.
Vincent defined his passion and chose this path for the birth of this organization after personally being touched by tragedy when close friends lost their teenage son to suicide. With bullying in the spotlight and a rise in teen suicide, Vincent knew he had to do something and now groups which address teen issues will have the opportunity to apply for funds.
“The words live free be strong have such powerful meaning, and I am here to make a difference. If we can save one life or spare one child unnecessary torment and pain, then we have achieved something truly important,” Vincent added.
The public is encouraged to support this new Foundation and can spread the word with the purchase of a LIVE FREE BE STRONG fashionable t-shirt in two great styles. 100% of the proceeds from the sale of these t-shirts will go to anti-bullying organizations.
