TAMPA, Fla. – A good Samaritan named Fred Bentz, of Winter Haven, FL, saw a lady hit a $1,000 jackpot from a Wheel of Fortune® slot machine and walk away at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa. When she returned after 10 minutes, he handed her the winning ticket.
In all of her excitement, Margy Allen of Lakeland, FL, had inadvertently pulled her Seminole Wild Card out of the machine and walked away. When she realized the money was not automatically uploaded to her card, she returned to the machine and found Bentz waiting for her with the $1,000 ticket.
Allen said she wanted to thank him, so she called Bay News 9 to tell them of his generosity. Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa surprised him with $1,000 free play and a complimentary hotel room after tracking him down via surveillance video and Player’s Club information. The surveillance video shows him clearly guarding the ticket and waiting for her return.
